United By Blood / Evan Nathan - Give Blood Campaign

Dear Friends,

In 2019, Evan Nathan Smith tragically died in hospital following a sickle cell crisis.  At Evan Nathan’s inquest, Coroner Dr Andrew Walker said his life may have been saved if a

blood transfusion had been given when he requested help.

NHS Blood and Transplant are supporting organisations ACLT, Black Mum’s upfront and Cell Fe For Life who have launched United by Blood -  an appeal for people of Black heritage to register and become regular donors in Evan Nathan’s memory.

A series of special blood donation sessions will be held in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol on World Sickle Cell Awareness Day on 19th June and Father’s Day on 20th June.

Appointments for the United by Blood sessions are available to book through our dedicated booking line on 0300 303 2737.

We would be grateful if you could please help share our promotional assets via your social channels to help promote the United by Blood Campaign.
